One of my images that I submitted to the 2023 Photo Review International Photography Competition was selected to be a part of the 2023 Web Galleries, which display entries specially selected by Editor, Stephen Perloff, and other Photo Review staff.
I started following and reading the photo review once we learned about it in college photo classes, so this is quite the honor to have the editor pick one of my images to be part of their special web gallery selection. The theme my image was selected under is Women, which is perfect for my work. The photo review has been published since1976

My image Brigantine Hotel is the one featured in the 2023 Women Gallery please check it out along side many of the other wonderful artists work.
"Brigantine Hotel" was shot in the historic beachside hotel. The only hotel of this massive magnitude in the whole small town it stands out with its Art Deco details crumbling from the many years in the salt air. It has quite the history, built in 1927 this hotel was involved in WWII and desegregation. Rumor has it that Al Capone liked to stop by. The energy of a place like this is unavoidable, hiding out on the top floor peering down onto the ocean, with the orange glow of the low setting sun, this image almost created itself. I am, as always, grateful for my friends, who graciously agree to be my models whenever inspiration strikes.
